The Dad the Sleep Coach Philosophy
Plan right. Sleep tight.
At Dad the Sleep Coach, I believe that great sleep starts with a solid game plan and a strong team. Every family has its own lineup—some parents alternate shifts, others play to their strengths—but what matters most is working together with confidence and consistency. I’m here to coach you through the tough nights, support your unique dynamic, and help your baby build lifelong sleep skills while everyone gets the rest they need.
My approach is rooted in three core values:
Consistency. Compassion. Clarity.
Sleep training doesn’t mean letting your baby cry endlessly. It means having a clear plan, knowing when and how to respond, and staying steady—especially when it’s hard. I’ll coach you through that process so you’re never guessing what comes next.
About Me
Cory is a fully rested (mostly) father of two wonderful, brilliant, and exhausting little girls that sleep through the night. But this was not always the case.
Our first baby girl was a dream sleeper—until she wasn’t. Around five months old, the dreaded sleep regression hit. Suddenly, she was waking every 20–30 minutes around the clock. We were exhausted, overwhelmed, and running on fumes. We knew something had to change.
After some frantic research and sleepless nights, we landed on a sleep training method that resonated with us. My wife and I committed to learning everything we could about it, and we crafted a plan. We stuck together through the tears and night wakings, supported each other, and stayed consistent. Within just four nights, our daughter was sleeping through the night—and so were we.
We kept up those healthy sleep habits as she grew, and when baby number two came along, we were prepared. And once again, right around five months, that same regression returned. This time, my wife was back at work, and I felt ready. I had the tools, the experience, and the confidence to take the lead. I offered to handle sleep training myself—every check-in, every soothing routine, every night.
We did bedtime together, but I only woke my wife when it was time for a feeding, then took over again, guiding our little one back to sleep using the same consistent approach we had relied on before. And it worked. Again.
That’s when it clicked: this isn’t just a system—it’s a shift in mindset. With the right plan, support, and consistency, parents can work together—sometimes with dad stepping up in a big way—to get the rest their whole family needs.
Dad the Sleep Coach was born from that experience—and I’m here to help your family find that same relief, confidence, and connection through better sleep.
